It was my mother's birthday and we decided to celebrate it at this place called Savya Rasa. Mangalorean, Chettinad & other South Indian cuisines served in an upscale ambiance with a full bar. The ambiance gives feel of South India. Menu card was in a beautiful wooden format giving ita a classy look and feel. The staff too was extremely generous and services was prompt. The ambiance just adds on to the south indian feel with the music played at the background and the seating. It of ...read more

Located in Koregaon Park, Pune, Savya Rasa is an ideal place to host an anniversary party. With amazing decors and unique interiors, the place is light to the pockets. The lip-smacking dishes belonging to numerous cuisines are delicious. So, I hosted a rooftop anniversary party at the venue and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food along with the iconic view of the city. The service was too good, with the staff being so kind and attentive, it was a great help. The live music and o ...read more

Things To Know

Approach

Located in the Gera Serenity Building in Koregaon Park, this colonial era styled restaurant is a lovely South Indian place. It offers parking facilities and is also well connected, with public transport easily available in this area, making it easily accesible.

Ambience

As mentioned earlier, this restaurant has a very colonial-era feel to it: kalakari paintings on the wall, cable-knit teakwood chairs, vintage pieces of other decorative items and some soft lighting- makes you feel as if you've walked into Colonial India. The place is beautifully decorated, for lack of better words and very tastefully done. It almost gives you a royal like feel, that makes one appreciate the rich culture of India. The ambiance is quiet and great for those wanting to have conversations flow during their meals rather than loud music.

Food and Service

This restaurant specialises in South Indian and Mangalorean delicacies. There's Kolu Masiyal, kyma unday, jolada roti and other South Indian specialities from the Chettinad, Nellore, Malabar and Mysore regions of South India. It is that place where you go if you really want to enjoy some good and less beknownst, but tantalizing South Indian delicacies. There is also an eclectic and mouth watering array of dessert options available that are less known to North Indians but certainly deserve a place in all restaurants and not just South Indian restaurants. The staff is very friendly and well trained. They are efficient at their job and do it very dilligently.

Known For

This restaurant is best known for its traditional ambiance and sumptuous South Indian dishes that leave one wanting more. It offers a great fine dining experience that can be enjoyed best with family and friends.
