12th February 2020Matamaal is a quaint little venue that is good for hosting small birthday parties, etc. I had once been here for a kid's birthday party and liked the facilities here. The place is very children friendly. There were games set up, a dance floor where some kids also danced to the tunes of Bollywood songs. The ambience is very simplistic and likeable, but what stands out is the small boat that you find in Dal Lake. More to that, the seating avenues are very comfortable and pleasant, and so is the design of window panes characteristic of Kashmiri culture. This place is very optimal for hosting events such as a wedding reception party, especially if you like Kashmiri Culture.

Needless to say, Matamaal gives you a taste of quintessential Pahaadi cuisine, incorporating dishes from not only Kashmir but nearby areas as well. The characteristic sweetness and spiciness of Kashmiri cuisine are replicated by this establishment bang on. The crowd's favourite is Chok Wangan. Additionally, the service is very helpful and dedicated to the betterment of our experience. They remain very efficient and also, very insightful about the Kashmiri culture.

10th May 2022Wow, the food at Matamaal was so delicious and not too expensive either. The Rajma Kashmiri was an absolute delight. They had well-maintained both the quantity and quality of food. It had more than enough for two people. The ambience of this place was another plus factor which insisted me and my friends to visit this restaurant in Gurgaon again and again.
